About me

Hi, I'm Sharon

My journey to creating The Great Unwind has been anything but conventional. It's been shaped by three distinct chapters, each teaching me invaluable lessons about stress, performance, and the art of living well.

What I've learned is this: the wisdom we need to thrive already exists. It's been practiced for centuries across cultures around the world. We just need to rediscover it.

A Journey Through Three Worlds

Chapter One: The Finance World

My career began in the high-pressure world of finance, working with prestigious firms like American Express and Cowen & Co. I learned about performance under pressure, the cost of constant stress, and the toll that "always on" culture takes on the human spirit.

In boardrooms and trading floors, I witnessed brilliant people burning out, sacrificing their health and relationships for success. I was one of them. This experience planted the first seeds of a question that would shape my future: Does it have to be this way?

Chapter Two: The Entertainment Industry

Seeking a different pace, I transitioned to the world of arts and entertainment, working with iconic venues including Radio City Music Hall, Madison Square Garden, and Lincoln Center. I even created and served as the Head Box Office Treasurer for Jazz at Lincoln Center for several years.

Surrounded by creativity and culture, I discovered something profound: art, music, and beauty weren't luxuries—they were necessities for the human soul. I watched audiences leave performances transformed, lighter, more alive. This was a different kind of value creation, one that nourished rather than depleted.

Chapter Three: The Wellness Revolution

My experiences in both high-stress and high-culture environments led me to a calling I couldn't ignore: helping others find balance before they reached burnout. I pursued professional certifications as a Certified Wellness Coach (CWC), Certified Corporate Wellness Coach (CCWC), and Certified Stress Management Coach (CSMC).But something was missing. The wellness industry often felt one-dimensional—focused on individual techniques without acknowledging the rich, diverse wisdom that cultures around the world have developed over millennia. That's when I began my research into global stress-relief practices, and The Great Unwind was born.

The Philosophy Behind The Great Unwind

This course represents the synthesis of everything I've learned: the urgency of the finance world, the soul-nourishing power of culture, and the science-backed practices of wellness coaching.

Global Wisdom, Modern Application

From Nordic Hygge to African Ubuntu, from Asian Forest Bathing to Mediterranean Sobremesa—every culture has developed unique approaches to stress and well-being. These aren't just interesting traditions; they're time-tested solutions to universal human challenges.

Practical, Not Theoretical

I've spent years in high-pressure environments. I know you don't have time for fluff. Every practice in this course is designed to fit into real life—whether you're in a corporate office, raising a family, or juggling multiple responsibilities.

Science Meets Tradition

As a certified stress management coach, I've ensured that every traditional practice is backed by modern research. You'll understand not just what to do, but why it works—and how to adapt it to your unique circumstances.

Your Personalized Toolkit

This isn't a one-size-fits-all program. With 11 modules covering 10 distinct cultural traditions, you'll discover which practices resonate with your personality, lifestyle, and goals. You'll build your own custom stress-management system.

My Mission

To help you reclaim your calm, rediscover your energy, and build a life where success doesn't require sacrifice. You deserve to thrive, not just survive.

The wisdom is already here. Let's unwind together.

Start Your Journey Today

You’ve got questions. I’ve got answers.

Who are you, and why should I trust you to guide me through this?

Honestly? Because I learned everything the hard way — and then kept going anyway. I'm not a wellness influencer who discovered journaling on a yoga retreat and decided to sell a course. I'm someone who pushed through exhaustion for years, ignored every signal my body sent me, and eventually paid a price I couldn't negotiate my way out of. I lost a foot to illness. Not a metaphor. An actual foot.

That kind of wake-up call tends to get your attention.

What it also did was send me on a deep, obsessive search for how human beings actually recover — not with a 21-day detox or a new app, but with the time-tested practices that cultures around the world have quietly relied on for centuries. The Great Unwind is what I found. And it's what I wish someone had handed me before my body had to make the decision for me.

Q: I've tried meditation apps, read every self-help book, and I'm still exhausted. Why would this be any different?

Because those things were probably asking you to add more to your plate — and your plate is already on the floor. Most wellness advice is designed for someone who has spare bandwidth. You don't. What you need isn't another practice to fail at by Wednesday. You need a different relationship with rest entirely.

The Great Unwind draws on global wisdom traditions — Danish Hygge, Japanese Shinrin-Yoku, Latin American Sobremesa, African Ubuntu — not because they're exotic and interesting (though they are), but because they share one thing in common: they were never about trying harder. They're about living differently. That's a completely different ask. And it's one most exhausted people can actually say yes to.

Q: Do I need to be into "wellness stuff" to get something out of this course?

If anything, being a little skeptical of wellness stuff might make you a better fit. This course isn't candles-and-crystals territory — it's rooted in real cultural practices with real histories and, increasingly, real science behind them. You don't need to be spiritual, flexible, or own a single piece of linen clothing.

You just need to be tired enough of being tired that you're willing to try something that actually works. If that's you — welcome. You're exactly who this was made for.

These are intentionally written as your voice speaking directly to a reader — no filler, no fluff. Once you share your name, I can personalize further. And whenever you're ready, we can build out the rest of your website copy, social content, or book material in this same voice.
